In another notable departure, Jerret West, the Chief Marketing Officer for Xbox and Corporate Vice President of Microsoft Gaming, is set to leave the company next week. West’s return to Microsoft in 2019, following his initial tenure from 2003 to 2011, brought his expertise from executive roles at Netflix and American Express to the forefront of Microsoft’s gaming division.

Simultaneously, Microsoft has announced the addition of two new marketing leaders to its team. Bryson Gordon, who previously spent nearly four years at Google as a global marketing leader for Google Workspace, will assume the role of Corporate Vice President of Media, Partnerships, and Agencies. With prior experience at Microsoft from 2005 to 2015, Gordon brings a wealth of knowledge to his new position.

Alyssa Schutter, a seasoned live events leader, joins Microsoft from Amazon Studios, where she held the position of Head of Events. Her background also includes leadership roles at MGM Studios. At Microsoft, Schutter will serve as the General Manager of Event Creative, further enriching the company’s marketing leadership team with her expertise and industry insights.
