Social media influencer David Allen is mourning the devastating loss of his newborn daughter, Lily, who tragically passed away at just five weeks old. The heartbreaking news was shared by Allen, 35, on Instagram and TikTok on Sunday, August 4, where he opened up about the immense grief he and his wife, Jessica, are experiencing.

In his emotional message, David Allen, known on social media as @totouchanemu, reflected on his journey as an influencer. He began by recalling the viral video from a few summers ago that skyrocketed his online presence. “I posted this video to the internet and it did pretty well,” he reminisced. “And I got to travel a lot, meet a lot of cool people, celebrities, be on shows, interviews, things like that. It was really neat.”

However, Allen emphasized that none of his online success could compare to the joy of welcoming his daughter, Lily, into the world. “But the coolest thing I ever did was welcome my baby Lily with my wife Jessica,” he shared. “She was five weeks old about a week ago when she passed away at midnight. I have cried every tear I can possibly cry.”

Lily was born on July 21 and passed away on July 27. The cause of her death has not been revealed. Allen expressed the difficulty of coping with such a profound loss, stating, “Grieving Lily’s death is not easy. I don’t wish this on anybody. I don’t even really know what to say. I’ve waited a week to even mention it because I didn’t know how to talk about it.”

In his heartfelt post, David Allen encouraged his followers to cherish their loved ones. “If there’s something you wanna do, you can donate to Dallas Children’s Hospital in her name — Lily Grace Allen — if you’d like to. If you wanna send something to me or my wife, or our family, I have an address on my page. You can find it. Or, just go hug your little one. Squeeze ‘em tight. For me.”

The outpouring of support from Allen’s followers has been overwhelming, with thousands leaving messages of condolence. One user wrote, “I can’t begin to fathom the range of emotions that you and Jess are going through. This is immensely difficult to hear. May Light Perpetual Shine Upon Her.” Another follower, who had also lost a newborn, shared, “I know your pain and the only thing I can say is that eventually we learn to live with this pain. All my love for you and your wife.”

Lily’s memorial service will be held on Tuesday, August 6, at Bluebonnet Hills Funeral Home in Colleyville, Texas. Allen advised that only invited guests should attend, but welcomed flowers and cards.

David Allen’s story is a poignant reminder to embrace every moment with our loved ones. As he and Jessica navigate this unimaginable grief, their resilience and love for Lily continue to inspire their followers.
