Tiffany She’ree, the face behind this viral account, has amassed over three million followers on TikTok, where she shares her lucrative finds from dumpster diving expeditions.
Tiffany, a mother of four from Texas, left her traditional job to dedicate herself fully to dumpster diving. By targeting the discarded items of major retail stores, she has managed to generate a substantial income for her family. In an interview with What’s the Jam, she explained that she dives two to three times a week, specifically avoiding residential trash bins and instead focusing on retail store dumpsters.
Her TikTok videos, which fall in line with current trends on the platform, showcase some impressive hauls, including a collection of Nike and New Balance shoes still with tags, along with branded shirts and sweatbands. These finds have captivated her audience, who are intrigued by the potential value in what is often thrown away.
According to a report by the New York Post, Tiffany has made nearly $80,000 in just two years of dumpster diving, although she has been engaged in this activity for eight years. Her persistence has clearly paid off, as her videos elicit a mix of admiration and frustration from viewers. Some are amazed by her ability to uncover valuable items, while others express dismay that stores discard perfectly good merchandise. One commenter remarked, “So many kids could use those [shoes] for school, and they just pitch them.”
Tiffany has further monetized her discoveries by selling some of her finds in ‘mystery boxes’ on her website, allowing fans to purchase a selection of items she has retrieved from dumpsters. In a recent video posted on July 31, 2024, she highlighted a particularly impressive haul from Burlington, including brand-new dishware, unopened jars of candies, thermoses, and Crocs.
“You never know when stores are going to toss stuff,” Tiffany told What’s the Jam. “It’s really just all about luck. …if you can name it, I’ve probably found it.” Her success is supported by the fact that dumpster diving is legal in all 50 states in the USA, provided there are no signs prohibiting trespassing.
