Oasis fans now have another opportunity to secure tickets for the band’s 2025 reunion tour at Wembley Stadium, following massive demand during the initial sale. The iconic British band, fronted by Liam and Noel Gallagher, announced two additional shows at Wembley and introduced an invitation-only ballot system for ticket distribution. This strategy aims to reduce stress for fans after many were left frustrated during the original ticket release, which saw long queues and pricing issues.
In the new system, priority will be given to fans who tried but failed to get tickets during the first sale. Those eligible will receive an email with instructions to join the ballot, which includes a quiz question: “When did Oasis last play Wembley Stadium?” The correct answer, for devoted fans or those who do a little research, is July 12, 2009. This date was part of their “Dig Out Your Soul” tour, the last time Oasis played Wembley before their breakup.
The band released a statement explaining that this new ballot system is designed to make ticket buying “far smoother for fans by reducing the stress and time it takes to obtain tickets.” It also acknowledged the disappointment many fans faced in the previous sale, which saw Ticketmaster’s dynamic pricing policy significantly inflate the cost of tickets. In some cases, prices doubled, leaving many frustrated. General standing tickets, initially priced within the expected range, skyrocketed as the dynamic pricing system responded to demand. This led to outrage across social media, with fans expressing their displeasure over the steep increases.
The ballot, however, does not guarantee a ticket. Oasis cautioned that the number of codes distributed will be limited due to the high demand. Fans who are selected through the ballot will receive a code allowing them access to purchase tickets for the additional Wembley shows. However, only those who receive an invitation via email will be able to enter the ballot. Oasis also clarified that fans must use the same email registered with their Ticketmaster account to qualify. If an invitation is not received, the fan will not be eligible, and attempts to register without one will be automatically discounted.
This additional chance to attend the highly anticipated reunion tour is expected to be a big moment for fans. For many, it represents a historic event, with the Gallagher brothers putting aside their differences for the first time since their split over a decade ago.
